Meet the Coach
Eric Wiedel is from the small town in south-central Nebraska. Grew up on a farm, surrounded by entrepreneurs & is the oldest of 4 kids. 3 sport athlete: football, baseball, and a state champion in wrestling. Went to University of Nebraska & studied business, but biggest accomplishment in school was intramural doubles ping-pong winner with sister, Jessica Knobbe…ha! Started in the supplement business at 19 years old while in college at a corporate GNC, that was later purchased & turned Franchise by mentor & uncle, Cory Wiedel.
After being a key part in growing some of the best GNCs in the country & a super successful wholesale business, Complete Nutrition was founded and the CN Franchise was piloted by Eric and wife Shelly. After they had built the first 4 successful stores, their success was used to sell over 170 franchises nationwide and Eric & Shelly grew to their 22 stores within 3 years from the profits generated from their initial stores. After deciding to sell their business, CN corporate did as well.
Due to non-competes, Eric took some time off, then learned the online supplement game building a super successful online webstore. Soon after the non-compete came up, Eric started mentoring a few retail clients. After seeing the struggles that the retailers see, it was clear that going from player to coach was needed and NutraGrow brands was founded.
Eric is married to wife Shelly, has 2 girls, and lives in central Texas. He has a deep appreciation for entrepreneurship and is helping businesses thrive in the nutrition and supplement space all across the country.

After the initial 5 CN Corporate Stores were losing money hand over fist, I took the leap of faith on myself by being the 1st Franchisee by going to a new market with no recognition and paved the way for the brand. I scaled to 22 stores by self-funding and my success was used to sell Franchises to grow the brand to over 170 stores nationwide. Many of the early pioneer franchisees were my college friends & some family that I helped recruit.
Was a part of the original team at launch. Traveled Nationwide teaching GNC Franchisees how to implement marketing strategies & sales systems that built million dollar stores. Was on the product development team with focus on formulations and structured products to work the systems effectively.
GNC Franchise District Manager - Recruited Talent, Developed Sales Systems & Grew Team that operated 2 of the Top 5 Grossing Stores of over 5,000 stores nationwide.
Few Unique Key Accomplishments:
100% Owned & operated 11 different stores that have had annual gross sales of between 1 million and 2.1 million dollars, all with product profit margins above 65% & Store Level profit above 34%.
Held an event at a retail store that did over $100,000 in sales in 1 day at a 1,200 sq ft store. Did it twice.
Owned & Built from Scratch a Multi-Million Dollar Online Supplement Webstore.
Employed over 100 awesome retail employees, paid them all above industry rates, offered full benefits and wouldn’t have had the success without them.
Successfully sold 22 highly profitable stores as a package deal working with an investment banking firm.
